Hi
I got an question i had compustar 2W8000FMR installed on my 2002 Nissan sentra specV with dealer.
However i only have door lock and unlock installed and now i am trying to install the trunk pop myself
i did some research this is the 2000 -2006 Nissan Sentra Wiring Diagram
http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/2000-2006/Nissan/Sentra/1268.html
and this is the manual come with my compustar
how to wire the trunk pop /w compustar -- posted image.
What i found out is the dealer connect the the Blue from CN4 at compustar unit to PURPLE / red and Blue/Bk to grey (unlock and lock)
which match the wiring diagram
however it not work when i try to connect the Voilet/Wh from CN4 to Red(-) the trunk release
All these 3(lock, unlock, trunk) wires goes to my SECU and all these function i have with my orginial remote
so all did is tap the trunk wire with PURPLE / wh but not work
i have double check my trunk latch and very sure it's red
Anyone have any idea why?
did i make any mistake or i miss some steps?
anything to do with the Aux2 on CN2 of my compustar unit?
very apperciate if anyone can help me

With many cars the doors have to be unlocked for the trunk release to work also if I remember correctly nissans need a very strong ground signal to get the trunk to open use a relay to do this

.. other vehicles only require a weak ground? I believe you are refering to is a high-current (ie. direct-wired) load. The PINK/BLACK(Trunk Release) wire, in pin 12 at the SECU, would be an example of this. It requires a relay to control the load, as it is the direct GROUND wire, from the solenoid.

Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

No you buy a standard 4 or 5 pin relay, if you buy the 5 pin, 87a isn't used.
