Are you looking to do a starter disable or remote start? Starter disable has to be picked up at the Total Integrated Power Module that is located near the passenger strut tower. Remote start needs a interface module.

The starter wire for RS is data. You need a  module to make it work.

I have used this module on the new smart key setup Xpresskit DLPKKICH3.  But had to flash it back to version 1.10 to get the ignition to work correct but was unable to get car to start, so then I cut the accy wire during crank to get the car to start. The wafer with bypass kit was nice but you have to make sure that the board is secure or you will not get a good connection.    Hope this helps...
