I'm ahout to install an alarm in my Altima and Cherokee and I wanted to check with you guys about those clamp connectors.  The ones where you just place the connector over the wire you want to splice into, and you put the wire from the alarms harness in the groove, then clamp it shut with pliers.

Is it best to solder the connection and tape or heat shrink?  Thanks
