I got your mail and am very impressed with the circuit board. It is a very expensive process to manufacture such a board. It is known as a dual layer circuit board. There are traces on 3 different areas of the board. A single sided board has traces only on one side of the board. A dual sided board has traces on top and bottom. A dual layer board has traces on top, bottom and in between the 2 layers. On pic 600paint you can see a slight black line coming from the point where you think the trace ends. If I remember correctly it travels directly west from that point. If you hold the board up with a lamp bulb behind it, you can see the traces inside the board. Yes it appears that the resistor is a 1/4 watt resistor. I am going to re-read your mail and try to figure out a value for you. I need you to check the diode very near the resistor. We need to see if it is shorted.
