I have a Viper 791XV installed in my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. I was just wondering what the remote start module looks like that houses the car's key. I need to take the key out because I only have one key/remote for the car and I just got another remote and "un programmed" key. I saw in the cars manual that I can program the key only if I have 2 keys. So I need to find the module that holds the key, where would it most likely be located?

I just looked under my dash and the only possible location for the key is on the 555U module, is this correct? Can I just disconnect the harnesses and take out the key for a few minutes

Yes, that's the one just unplug and remove. N.B. your car won't restart normally without the unit plugged together, also obviously it won't R/S without a paired key back in it.
