All,

I've got to do a remote start on a 2007 Silverado Duramax soon and I'll be using a Compustar / iDatalink combo.  I pulled up quite a bit of info searching through the database here but still have a couple of questions.

What color and where is the wait to start wire for the glow plugs?

I see mention of a second starter information only wire and another post said see attached wiring diagram for starter wiring (no wiring diagram attached).  Question is do I need to worry about this second starter wire with a module like the ADS-AL CA?

As always thanks.

Program in the start delay option of the remote starter and for this truck have it set to 8 -10 seconds.

If you are using an Idatalink module you don't connect the starter Mux wire. The module does this for you. Only connect igntion and accessory at the keyswitch....

Seeing that this is a new generation Passlock where the vehicle will crank when it sees the ACC drop out, connect the ALCA using the Type 3 diagram. This uses more power when the vehicle sits, but if it's a daily driver you won't have a problem about a dead battery. Type 3 also does't require an induction ring for the PK3+ bypass.

Jeff,

Unfortunatley I was planning to go with install #2.  Customer states this is not his daily driver.  I ordered an ADS RNG GM3 yesterday.
