Just finished a Clifford 50.7X install in my 2004 Tundra Doublecab.  Everything works, but it's very tedious to try to program all of the features using the valet switch and chirps.  I wouldn't mind picking up a used unit off Ebay if I was sure the chip version would work with the 50.7X.  Does anyone know what version I need?  Thanks.

PS - the information I found on this website was a big help, as this was my first alarm/keyless entry/remote start install.

Here's some useful info in the 50.7X installation manual. I just copy and paste here for ya...

Bitwriters require software v2.6. Bitwriters with a date code of 6a or older

require an IC upgrade (p/n 998M). Some Bitwriters with a date code of 6B

do not require the IC upgrade, refer to tech tip # 1112 for more information.

Bitwriter 2 compatible.

Thanks for the reply.  I looked all through my manuals again, and found the information you posted inside the front cover of the installation guide.  Now I'll try to find tech tip #1112 and see what it says.

I was able to locate a copy of the tech tip, it deals with figuring out which version you have and how to upgrade it.  Thanks again for the help.
