Hi guys I have a Astroflex RS-613 installed on my 2005 Chevy Colorado. It is installed with a PLJX module.

I am unable to get the system to enter into any programming modes. So I can not program the remotes etc.

I did a bunch of searching and found this info

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=111712&KW=astrostart

But I still can not get the system to flash the lights etc showing that I have entered into the programming mode.

I have the system wired the following way.

613/PLJX RED - constant 12v underdash

613 RED / BLACK - constant 12v underdash

613 Orange (Ignition output) to PLJX  Pink(ignition) both connected to  WHITE/ Green at ignition switch.

613 Yellow (accessory output+) to WHITE/ Red at ignition switch

613 green (Parking lights Output +-) to BROWN / White -  at head light switch

613 Blue (starting output+) to Violet (start wire) on PLJX

613 Green H6 output when running - 200ma to PLJX Brown (ground when running start)

613 BLACK/ red H6 hood switch is hooked up

613 WHITE/ Green H6 (interrupt input brake)  to brake switch light blue.

613/PLJX black ground connected under dash at dash mount bolt

613 BLACK/ green (tach signal) connected at coil center wire.

PLJX  Blue(Data ecm side)  connected to WHITE/ blue at ignition swtich ecm side

PLJX Pink/White(Data key side) connected to WHITE/ blue at key side.

When you put the fuses in the unit flashes code 21 system reset. Then if you turn the key on the led turns off.

It flashes if you press the brake. If the truck is running it flashes constant.

I am wondering if the H3 Yellow (pulse start input -) needs to be hooked up?

Am I missing something? Thanks for any help with this at all!!

Few details:

Make sure your PLJX wire is attached to body ground, not dash mount. The value out of the PLJX can be affected by variation on ground input.

Make sure the jumper of the PLJX is on lower 2 pins (horizontal)

I’ve sent you an updated remotes programming sheet to learn them into your RS-613. From there, you will be able to go into programming mode and change the desired settings.

Awesome!!! This worked like a charm!!! Thank you so much.  The programming info in the owners manual is wrong for any one else with this issue.

Great customer service from Astroflex!!!! Thanks for the help!!

There are few things to know before trying to program an RS613.

- When the Parking light jumper is to (-), the module won't clic when parking light will flash. The LED on the module will.
- On the programming sheet, When you see a rectangular with on or off in it, it's an instruction to change the ON/OFF switch to this position; not an instruction to move the key to ON or OFF.
- To program the remotes (that are normally factory programmed) the hood need to be open. For the other programming, it doesn't matter.

Please let me know more details or feel free to contact one of our techs to help you with the programming.

Thanks pat, I am still having trouble getting it to program. The led is flashing 14 times which is for the parking brake. The parking brake isnt even hooked up. IS it supposed to be? I think these units are kinda crazy to program. anyone have any ideas? thanks

thanks mojo
