Is there a factory amp in a 1999 toyota celica. Usually the toyotas have to plugs behind the radio and this only has one. And if so where is it located

When pulling the factory radio out you will notice that there is the common single plug harness, and if you trace that below the Climate controls you will find the amp. The plug going into the amp is one large plug (isuzu/passport harness) and you can repin that. thats nice and all, but even better...... reach underneath the amplifier, easiest to get to by puttin arm shoulder deep in the dash, and reaching underneath it.There you will find, the standard 2 plug Toyota harness! It is cliped to the underside of the amp, just give 'er a yank and it'll pop out, pull a little bit of slack and wire up your reg. toyota harness. much easier than repinning

Also applies to Previas and Supras, mid to late 90s. the only one (here in the UK anyway) that you couldn't pull off that trick were the MR2s.The plug was lower left in centre console on Supras.
