I'm looking for opinions regarding how difficult a remote start install is on a 2006 Volvo S60.
I've been researching and I've read some horror stories on the Volvo forums regarding failed installs, and I want to see if anyone has had success or failure with these cars, to try to determine if it's worth doing, before I attempt it.
Thanks, JKG

every car make will have there list of failed installs, it just depends who is doing it, the install is only as good as who is putting it in the car

this car is a fairly easy job, but I don't know your knowledge level, you will need 2 extra pieces as described below

use a bypass from idatalink, in your car it will be a 3 wire hookup if installed in data mode, it will control all conveinence features including factory alarm, doorlocks, and so on

you will also need a piece from DEI it is the 556U, this will bypass factory immobilizer, but you will have to loose a key
