I went and installed keyless entry for my dads van and the lock and unlock works, but now when I start the van the wipers turn on and wont turn off unless I lock the van.  I am supposed to use a 2000ohm resistor for unlock and a 5200ohm resistor for lock.  I was unable to find a 5200ohm resistor and put in a 5100ohm resistor instead.  Could this be a problem?  The lady at the electronics store said should make no differance.  Should I look else where?

i dunno what others go by, but i go by + or - 5% tolerance. and using a 5100 is in that tolerance...ive never had a problem but there is a first for everything

Ya I originally hooked up the lock unlock to the wrong wire, (the wipers wire).  So maybe when I closed everything up something is getting grounded that shouldnt be.  Thanks for the replies though guys, I am gonna go look at it now.
