I recently got a compustar starter/alarm installed, but I now want to connect the rear defroster so I can turn it on with the starter. I found the blue wire on the defroster relay harness that activates the relay. I found the trunk release output wire (violet w/white stripe) on the brain (CM6000). I just want to be sure that I am connecting the correct wire on the brain. I have not noticed any other triggers I could use other than the second unlock output wire (orange w/black stripe) right next to this one and unlock output (blue). I just want to be sure which one I should be using, before I make a connection. Any help is appreciated

In order to change it to the POC settings, you need an OP500 programmer.

if you try to change it with the 2way or 1way remotes, it wont work. Only the op500 will allow modifications to the advanced programming.

do you mean if it was hooked up to a computer?

Are you talking the POC wires black (POC #5) or white (POC #8)? I don't want to have to take the car back to the shop, they want to charge me for this. They say "it's not part of a typical install" so I said EFF them, I will do it myself and avo0id the hassle.

OK
1. I don't have an OP500
2. I already have all of those wires hooked to what they're defaulted for
3. I want to leave the trunk output alone, since I will be hooking it up to an electronic popper once installed tomorrow
4. Here is a link to the brain wiring schematic from Compustar: http://compustar.com/remotestartalarm/MaxItDetails.pdf
Here is a link to the manual for the 2-way remote I have: http://compustar.com/ownerscorner/usermanuals/CS-2WLCD-USER_E_S.pdf
I am trying to hook-up my rear defroster to AUX. 1 on the brain...but I cannot figure out which wire is AUX. 1. Any help would be great, and very much appreciated. I already have the wire on the carside figured out, just need the correct wire from the brain.
Again, I don't want to take it to the install shop, cuz they are sooo slow. They kept my car for 3 days to do this install, and kept my wifes car for 2 days just to replace the antenna (cm3000) that went bad, plus they will charge me for something simple I can do myself.
