thank you everyone!! i have one more question if i am installing an avital 4113, do i have to connect the factory rearm? it is confusing because the factory rearm activates when the doors are locked but this is a one button remote start. should i hook a relay up to this wire to trigger the vehicles door locks when the remote start is shut off? i find that confusing lol...

Does your CR-V have the factory alarm?  Usually the LX doesn't and the EX does.  If it does have the factory alarm, does a remote start while locked/alarmed cause the alarm to go off?  If yes, then you can connect the 4113s' DisArm wire to turn off the factory alarm before remote start.  Also you would connect the 4113s' Arm wire to turn the alarm back on after the remote start timed out ( ran for 15 minutes without a key take over ) or was cancelled.
Soldering is fun!

Not sure if I understand.  Going by the below info, the Door Lock wires listed are

different from the Alarm Arm and DisArm wires.

This is from AudioVox

Alarm Disarm     BROWN  (-)      IN HARNESS IN DRIVER KICKPANEL TO DOOR
Alarm Arm        PINK   (-)      UNDER DASH FUSEBOX
Power Unlock     GRAY   (-)      UNDER DASH FUSEBOX
PowerLock        BLUE   (-)      UNDER DASH FUSEBOX

This is from Bulldog Security

FACTORY ALARM DISARM   BROWN (-)   in DRIVERS KICK PANEL, Door Harness
POWER LOCK       BLUE (-) TYPE B   in DRIVERS KICK PANEL, Door Harness
POWER UNLOCK     GRAY (-) TYPE B   in DRIVERS KICK PANEL, Door Harness

There appear to be seperate wires for each function with your CR-V.

Soldering is fun!

Perhaps you will understand why we say these units are really for pro installation only.

you have to be a probi to become a pro.

ok lets make my questions clear here and hopefully i can get some help..

on the avital 4113 single button remote start:

1. do you have to connect the lock wire for the single button system?

2. forget the CRV... if a cars factory alarm rearm wire  (lets say 08 ford fusion) is the lock wire when the door is open how do you go forward with connectiong it?

Thank you!

No just connect the disarm wire to the brown and the unlock if required to the gray (or grey as I would write it).

is there a tach wire located under the dash in a car like an 08 ford fusion? Instead of running a single wirfe to a fuel injector under the hood.

POSSIBLY (?) at the engine management.
Unlikely at the gauges, it's most likely data there.
