Surely when you activate the remote start the car would normally ALREADY be locked!
Of course Howie, but I was trying to disarm the alarm, start the car, then rearm. To avoid the brief siren sound, when remote starting without disarming. But looks like I'll have to live without. I just thought another locking solution was available.
Factory ring was only 13 dollars. They used to be much more around 30.00 But now they are pretty comparable to the 556uw.

We did a RS on an X5 and what we did was use the factory rearm wire to pulse the yellow/red wire at the middle door lock switch. The compustar unit would just send the pulse after start because I programmed it that way. We turned on the unlock before start and re lock but since the relock doesn't do anything when the car is on it wouldn't do anything. But since we connected the factory rearm wire to the middle door switch it worked perfectly.

Interesting point Eric but I always went into the door for the separate lock/unlock wires, that would also give me comfort close and in conjunction with a 555U and valet key I never had any issues with the factory alarm. I suppose whatever works!
