I installed a 5301 remote start/security in my GF's car 2 years ago now and it was working great for quite a while.  Within the last 6 months the 2 way remote is beeping at her every time she hits any command on it (and the F button is lighting up).  After I looked it up I noticed it is an out of range error code.  I have changed the battery 3 times just to make sure and that is certainly not the problem.  Is there any other troubleshooting I can do to validate if it is the starter or the remote?

I believe, in my opinion,  that the remote is defective.  I had the same issue with the two way on my wife's 5301.  I have five vehicles here that I have installed either a 5301 or a 5701, each of these has at least two, 2-Way Remotes and only one of the remotes did the strange unknown beeping. So I got rid of it. None of the others has ever done the weird beeping thing.

get access to the brain, remove the power harness (not the large gauge wires) for 30 seconds, reset the brain, reprogram the remotes and voila. It will work again.

Those units are finicky as i ran into sooo many problems with the responder le series.

Is there instructions on how I can reset the brain?  Also I looked through the install and users guide and could not find an option on how to reprogram the remotes.  Any more details would be very helpfull!

door open - ign on - press valet button once - then again and hold - hear the siren chirp and press lock on the remotes (make sure you set up remote for pairing mode)
