What are you looking for in a dash kit?  Single din or Double din?

Does the screen have to drop down in order to get a DVD into the unit?

American International, GM-K422  (not real sure on the exact number)  A Metra kit will not work for the moving screen.  At least it won't work good.

yes, i agree with "i am an idiot" the metra kit wont really work.(04 silverado). i bought the kit and only used the side brackets. after failed attempt to steal my double din i made some metal brackets instead using some plastic pieces. Depending on brand of double din, you might have to cut/ chip some small plastic dash pieces behind the the dash. Im using a JVC AVX-810, and theres alot of wires+swi-jack+RCA'S+GM harness adapters behind there. Plus my double din is detachable face and i had a hard time finding a kit which would work with out interfering with its fold down operation. I really shoved my unit deep in dash to keep the flush look. theres just a small gap above climate controls.
Go BIG or go Home                                    it might not be broke, but lets fix it anyway
