Hello,

I'm looking for a trunk and glass release motor to add to my DIY power lock system.

I'm guessing i would need a solenoid? Something that can go to 3 different positions.

I'm not sure though. Anyone have any info that would help?

Thanks.

What is the application? This information may help provide a more thorough answer. A solenoid is what you would normally use for popping a trunk, yes...an actuator would allow multiple positions. So you may just be looking for a 2-solenoid setup, one to pop the glass, one to pop the trunk?
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

I want to pop the trunk and/or glass with the 2 extra feature options on my remote. I guess what i would like to do is:

  • press a button to pop the trunk
  • press a button to pop the glass
  • send a double pulse to open or lock the trunk

i hope this info narrows it down. I have a 2006 pontiac vibe if that helps.
