subs and trunk rattle

hello all first time post here, heres the problem, i have 2 kicker comp 10's with 160 watts rms going to each one in a common chamber 2.95 cu ft, i have a 95 cougar (thunderbird) with a flat back glass my trunk is aprox. 3 inches away from the glass now the main problem is my trunk flexes aprox. 1/4 to 1/2 inches higher than my opening and is rattling very badly would sound deadening take care of that or would i need to use something like foam-rubber and if foam-rubber is the choice then how will i get to stay on the lid

If you are visually seeing the trunk flexing then you should start by checking that nothing is loose and the latch fully secures. Then upgrade to a new THICK trunk seal. After that Dynamat, Dynamat, Dynamat.Gary Sather

i do thank you for the response but i have checked my latch and hinges and they secure and on the trunk seal all i have found is oem and that stuff autozone sells.. and as far as dynamat has anybody used that mill-mat stuff i havent found any reviews of the stuff except on their own website so who knows where that came from(sorry if i offened anybody by saying that like the ppl who make it) and dynamat is expensive too, i do have to big pieces of the foam-rubber egg create stuff, but i wasnt going to try to use untill i found out to make it stay,roger (95 cougar 4.6 stock expect the stereo)

I have used Dynamat, Ballistic, and the rolls you can buy at lowes. It is all identical except for thickness (Ballistic is the thickest and the lowes stuff is the thinnest). I would recommended the Ballistic or dynamat (some of the thicker stuff whatever brand) on your trunk lid and the lowes stuff will do fine for the rest (trunk floor, sides etc.).Dodge Magnum in progress:

whats the name of the stuff from lowes then cause i cant find it??? and how would i attach the foam rubber stuff to my trunk lid????roger (95 cougar 4.6 stock expect the stereo)

The stuff from lowes is a 6" wide roll of thin dynamat (tar on aluminium foil) that is used to seal around doors and windows in houses. It is in the roofing section at both lowes and home depot and should cost between 15 and 20 dollars a roll of 12sqft enough for about one layer on the floor of a trunk. so you should get 2 or 3 rolls. I don't think the trunk lid is the best place for the foam rubber. On the back of the door panel is where I would put that using 3m spray 77 or better spray glue.Dodge Magnum in progress:
