I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500.  I just bought a pair of JL Audio 650-CSi.  I installed the passenger door, checked sound, good to go.  I moved on to the drivers door, installed it, no sound.  Not out of either front nor the rear speakers.  Stereo works, st comes on and off for stations.  Switch stations works everything except speakers.

I don't have amps, and it is the stock radio.  These speakers are my first addition to the truck.

Thanks for helpin!!!

sounds like somewhere along the way you may have gotten a speaker wire shorted to ground and the radio has protected itself by shutting off the internal amp.double check the wires on the second crossover. is there a fray or a pair of wires swapped?

Let me guess: you did this with the battery connected or worse with the radio on?  If so the earlier poster is correct and you have caused the radio to go into protection.  If it doesn't come back with a power cycle, then try momentarily disconnecting the battery.  If that doesn't work you might have fried the amps inside the radio.

if you try that and it doesnt work.....try unhooking the new speakers where the radio hooks to the crossover and see if the rear speakers will work once again?
