astrostart 2100 start problem

I have a 2004 Camry and it has been starting fine until lately.  Everything works except when it starts, it shuts right down before it even gets up to idle speed.  I checked the number of blinks that the parking lights put out and its 12.  I believe this means over reving.  It never really revs because it shuts off immediately.

Sounds like its not seeing the tach signal correctly. I would check the tach wire and reprogram the tach signal. If that doesn't work you could try to do tachless start. (I'm just assuming you did the install and know what I'm talking about, if not and you need help let me know, also if a shop did the install make them fix it)

Hi, Thanks for the post. The shop that did the install is gone, so I will have to go to another one if need be. I have done some switch settings to set up unlock options before so I know where the box is. I am too old to chase the tach wire. I thought that maybe a reset with the switches, brake etc might fix it. I don't know which switches to turn on and a detailed procedure to do it. I have some add on options that I don't want to lose if I reset the unit. I have trunk, one press unlocks all doors, start confirmation and lock confirmation.
