Hi i am gonna order some new subs monday and was wondering what would sound better. Two 12 RE Audio SRX12's in a ported box or One 15" RE SEX In a sealed box. I am a bass head so dont really care about SQ, just want mainly bass, the lower the better.

It sounds like you need a ported enclosure.

You could go either way. On one hand, there would be more cone area on 2 12's than on one 15. But you would have more power on the 15. I think it would be a wash.

Yeah i was just wondering, i like the look of two 12's but one 15 is a little less expensive, unless i get a ported box for the 15 then it is more but in a sealed box it is less expensive than two 12s in a ported box.

When I answered, I evaluated all of the info from your initial post. From that info, it sounds to me that you will be much happier with a ported enclosure. The 2 12's will be more surface area, but the difference will be the equivalent of an 8 inch woofer.

OK what about if the 15 was also in a ported enclosure. than what would have more bass?
