Dynamat, Trunks and Vibration

Just Put Dynamat in a friends '93 Prelude (Dynamat Xtreme on the Trunck "hatch" and rear deck underside and original dynamat in Trunk floor and spare tire well) However, with a single 10" Bass tube, there is still noticable resonance / vibration. I figure it's mechanical parts like latch assy., etc. But being that there's a lot of sound pressure in the small trunk, should this be normal/to be expected or is it possible to elimate all resonating culprits?

it is hard to get rid off all vibration. Just make sure you cover all holes in trunk. One air space couls cause alot of vibration. I have a 99 Malibu and nearly my entire trunk is filled dynamat. About 80% of the rattle is gone but i need to cover one small side. Bottom line, every square inch needs to be covered to get rid of about 90% of the rattle. Cover the whole car to rid yourself of nearly all the rattle.

there are so many things to rattle that it is hard to eliminate all of them...they could be one of many many different things, including two plastic panels rubbing together... Sound deadener isnt really designed to take rattles out of plastic so much, although if you want to get carried away, it does do it quite well... basically you have to track down each and every individual rattle until you find them all or are at a level which you can tolerate...some may not be related to the actual Dynamatting though, so be prepared to really hunt some... BTW, I have given up altogether on Dynamat itself...Brown Bread is cheaper and it adhesive qualities are far superior to Dynamat...all the while not sacrificing a stitch of performance as a deadener...if anything, I would say its superior...
