What do i need - Last Post -- posted image. Let me see if I understand what you are asking.
You want to turn off the light when the relay is activated?
If this is the case, then you need a single pole double throw relay, connect the wires to the normally closed contacts.
In this configuration, the light will be on until the relay is turned on, then the light will go off.
Is this what you are looking for?

But if you want to use one relay and control two independent things, then you need a DPDT relay. So item 1 would be hooked up to 1/2 relay on the COM.,NC pins and item 2 would be hooked up to the other 1/2 of the relay on the COM., NO pins. When relay is not energized, item 1 will be ON. When relay is energized, item 1 will go OFF and Item 2 will go ON.
Is this what your looking for?
