There really is no "Mine is better than yours" scenerio. Depends on what YOU want, not what everyone else thinks you want.
I use 200W Optimus (radio shack, was CHEAP! Is excellent!),and 400W Kenwood, amps. I also have two 12" subs, they are American Pro. They sound just great, though they are not a well known BRAND name.
The best thing for you to do would be to match the amps with the speakers. Meaning, 2ohm speakers, get an amp that is 2ohm stable.
I wouldn't buy those plain old Kmart or older AMES amps. If buying, make sure it's a MOSFET supply amp.

in my experience, visonik is not a bad brand, but as PowerSlave0 said, it's all up to what you like

your gonna have some people tell what crap they are and your gonna have people say that it's the best. listen to your own ears. have your local dealer play it for you. you be the judge. some people think that if it's not fosgate or jl or some of the other big guys that it's crap. and fosgate and jl are very, very good. but what do you like? and how much money do you have to spend? what will you do with your system? if your going to compete in spl spend the bucks. if it's a car you drive 3 times a week maybe you should not spend so much. shop around too.
