I recently put in a viper 5301 remote start/ keyless entry system into a 99 volvo xc v70. I noticed on the wiring information it said i had to do a 5 wire for the accessory wire. I did it as the following:
---CUT CAR'S ACCESSORY WIRE IN HALF---
85: negative ignition-out from remote start (DEI small pink or small blue)
86: car ignition
87: no connection
87a: "key side" of the wire you cut
30: "car side" of the wire you cut, AND accessory output (orange) from remote starter
only problem is when the relay was plugged all the dash lights stayed on and the car never stopped beeping. So i unplugged the relay and everything worked out fine. That is until i noticed the cars heater wasnt blowing when i remote started the car and the radio doesnt turn on either. what did i do wrong?
Thanks Guys

are you wiring an addition accessory or trying to do a starter kill?
start kill
85 - ground when armed
86 - car ign
87 - not used
87a - starter wire keyside
30 - starter wire motor side
additional accessory
85 - addition acc output from unit (-)
86 - car ign
87 - constant 12v
87a - not used
30 - addition acc circuit

the wire diagram from direct techs said i need to do a 5 wire connection for the accessory line .. no need to do a starter kill on a remote start / keyless entry. what i dont understand is when i wired it and plugged the relay in the accessory in the car just stayed on. since the relay ISNT plugged in but the wires are stilled wired from what i posted before you think that can be the cause of the accessories not turning on in the car when it is remote started.

i dont see the purpose of a 5wire setup for the acc wire.
have you tried wiring it the way i suggested for an addition acc?
and btw is it V70? not xc V70 since that doesnt exist?
