I have a db-all installed on my '12 Jeep Wrangler. It is working using the 3x lock on my OEM key fob. I am trying to hookup a VSM200 via D2D. I have the brown wire in the configuration loop cut and routed to a ground. The white wire is still connected. All I am receiving on the smartstart is a fast flashing amber led. what have i done wrong? i don't get any green led.

Ok. Below is what I have done so far.
This is what I have thus far. This is on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Xpresskit DB-ALL connected via the CHTHD2 T-harness. Using the db-all as starter with the 3x oem key lock function. Db-all is flashed to latest firmware (5.01). Car starts/stops as expected using the 3x function so db-all is functioning. I am trying to connect a VSM200 via d2d. I verified that setting 1 on the db-all is set to smartstart (3 flashes). I have the y-harness connected to the smartstart. the white connector on the y-harness is plugged into the d2d connection on the smartstart. the brown wire in the config loop is cut and ran to a ground. all i get is fast flashing amber. no green lights and the amber light never goes steady.

Leave the brown loop un grounded, and power cycle the SmartStart.

Ok, I am attempting to build a add-on for my Xpresskit db-all using a gsm remote control relay. the information i need is what input/output does d2d expect? by this i mean, on my db-all, pin 1 is TX, and pin 3 is RX. So, what signal does pin 3 expect to initiate the start/stop command. any help would be appreciated...

I believe it is a DBI (Data Bus Interface) as the older protocol was SPI (Serial Presence Interface) but other than that I don't know what the commands are. As manufactures use there own version of the protocol's to comunicate with.

Did you ever get this to work properly? Im trying to do the same thing with the dball and the vsm200 connected d2d and get just rapid amber flashing light as well.
