Hello guys, I installed remote start on 12 Honda Pilot EXL my wife's car. Now the car would not remote start sometimes, it just cranks but no start with the green key flashing on the dashboard wich is transponder. I installed a Prestige APS57C system with Flashlogic FLCAN module. I used 1 way data mode install. Now instalation instructions say that I need to hook up Ground While Running wire from remote starter or car might not start. My question is what do I hook it up to on this install? Since I am using 1way Data cable it should provide that ground right? Or am I wrong?
The other ground wire is hooked up to ground as suppose to.
I would appreciate any help on this as I am puzzled.
Thank you

What is the LED doing on the FLCAN when you attempt to remote start? Does it light up at all? Flashing, solid?
As far as I can see, you wouldn't need a separate GWR wire if you using the Data connection. I would confirm the CANbus wires and the key data wire first then reset and reprogram the module.

I've a lot of issues with the Pilot doing exactly as you state. After talking to AVOX They told me the problem was with timing, the factory alarm must disarm before the ignition kicks on. Problem is the FLCAN would make both happen at the same time. Now our AVOX units we carry don't have a disarm wire, just a pulse before start, which didn't pulse soon enough. My understanding is the problem is now fixed and solution is to reflash the FLCAN with the latest software.

Ok I was able to spend some time with this car and that's what is happening.
When car remote starts- the led is blinking green
When car don't start- the led is solid red for 2 sec it attempts to start anyways but unsuccessful then led turns green for 2 sec. Remote start tries to start 2 more times and the led is off.
I did try resetting the module and reprogramming it with the key but it's same thing happening.
How ever I will try to bring this module to a local guy to get it reflashed. Hopefully it will solve the problem. I will update if it helps.

Reflashed module.
Reprogrammed with key.
Didn't made a dam difference.
Still don't start once in a while.

Reflashed it again with 1/10/13 version 1.4 software, reprogram it and now dont have a problem anymore. So I guess that was a solution.
Thanks everybody who replied.
