Hello all,
I am having some slight trouble with a recent remote install on my 2012 F150 Super Crew. I installed a python 533 with a fortin evo all bypass. Mostly everything seems to work with no issues for the alarm and remote start. However, I get a warning chirp each time I arm the truck. It is an ignition trigger and cannot be programmed out using the 2-5 option. It is because of the evo-all hitting ignition to disarm the truck (I suppose) even during arming. I have thought about just disconnecting this ignition wire, but wanted to reach out first to see if anybody else has run into this.
I also have an FYI. In trying to interrupt the autolight wire, I found that I could not make it work. I verified that the wiring diagrams do have the right wire listed (purple green at light switch), but simply interrupting the wire will not work. From what I can tell, if the wire shows ground, the truck will trigger autolights when ignition is on. Once ignition is on, disconnecting the wire does nothing. When the ignition is on and the switch is turned to non-autolights, the wire has either 5 or 7 volts on it (do not remember which now). So, it looks like a relay with a resistor would be needed to turn off autolights during remote start, but I did not go that far as it was not that important.
Thanks in advance for any help

The autolights should shut off when you set the parking brake. If so, you can just wire the status or 2nd status output from the Python to provide ground to the parking brake wire to keep autolights off during remote start. Once you takeover with the key, the autolights will come back on.

Not sure how to deal with the ignition wire issue when you arm it. The Fortin should only be sending a pulse when it disarms but I've never set one up with that module before. I've only used relays to the disarm wire.
