If using the factory amp was an option, metra would make a harness to do that. The only way I know of is to use the harness that comes with the kit and bypass the amp.

I could also buy a $70 interface but I dont feel like spending that much money on a simple system

And that Craig is the whole point, $70.

Or our poster could spend 3-6 hours digging out all the speaker leads and wiring them back to the head unit.

The PAC piece for sure will not work at all with that car.

I have no idea. I am familiar with the pac piece, the scosche piece, not so much.
