Installed a Clifford 20.7x with DB-ALL in wire to wire mode in a 2007 Dodge Nitro, factory keyless entry, NO factory alarm.  I was tempted to do this one D2D but chickened out.  DB-ALL flashed with 401.CHRYSLER v5.06.  DB-ALL programed first time per the instructions.

Was a pretty easy install. Four connections at ignition switch, three to 12 Volt Constant, Parking Light wire, Ground wire, and Horn.     Brake, TACH, Ignition, starter, GWR status, and door locks were through the DB-ALL.  Lots of room under the dash and a easy access grommet to the engine compartment, left side of drivers side firewall.

Also was removing the sometimes working, mostly not, Compustar CM 5200 with a PKUCH2X. The Compustar was installed by a local install shop. NO Hood pin installed and no connections were soldered. Most connections had crimp caps. 12 volt was just wraped and taped, NO solder.

Nice Pictorial and great photos.   2007 Dodge Nitro, Clifford 20.7x with DB-ALL Pictorial -- posted image.
You can always learn something when removing a problem system. Surprised that a Compustar system,
that has a lifetime warranty, was installed like that. And without a Hood Pin! Wonder if the PKUMUX2X was
part of the problem due to it's "chip and antenna" transponder bypass. The new "Data" style ones work
so much better.
Soldering is fun!

I was very surprised that a Install Shop would do an install without the hood pin. Quite a liability, should something have happened.
Thank you for your positive comments. I owe all that I know, to this site and the Pro's who supply their advice and guidance. Without it I'd probably still be trying this with scotchloks and duct tape.2007 Dodge Nitro, Clifford 20.7x with DB-ALL Pictorial -- posted image.

Most shops dont use metal hood pins in Mn cause they will rust out in 2 months. Mercury switches FTW
