I recently had a customer come in with a 2000 towncar. The pkall or the pkfm would not work so I used the old school 556uw. I used the avital 5303 everything works as should the only problem is now the the other key wont start the vehicle u can remote start it the put the key in and disengage the remote start. If u try to just get in the vehicle and flat out start it the security light just blinks fast pike the key is unprogrammed now. Is the 556uw supposed to do that????

How do you have the 556 wired ? The car could be seeing 2 keys. What happens if you unplug the 556 and try the other key ? Does it work then ?

I have the black wire to ground, power wire to positive, blue to gwr of the remote start and pink to the ignition input. I did change the jumper setting from 60 to 16 and in the manual it didnt say to hook up the pink ignition wire but when its not hooked up the bypass doesnt work. Im more experienced with the newer data bypasses this was my first time dealing with a 556uw

I've never used the ing wire on those. What happens if you disconnect the 556 ? Does the key work then ? Could have lost its programming

Well for some reason when I unplug the ignition wire it wont remote start it will just crank..and he will be back monday for some more work so ima have to unplug it and try it then. Are there any other things I should check??? Like does the jumper setting make a difference??? And I thought the pink wire was supposed to get hooked up?? For some reason data bypasses dont work for this car
