Anyone have any suggestions for where to find a good hi-amp replacement alternator.  I'm building a system that is going to have a peak draw of around 200 amps.

If quiters never win, and winners never quit, who the heck came up with the idea that you should quit while your ahead?

Check your local auto parts store. Sometimes, depending on how new/old the vehicle is, they'll have a high-amp output alt. you can get from them... Dunno where you are, but around here are the Pep Boys, Checker, or Auto Zone.  Don't forget to upgrade your wiring for all aspects between your new alt. and the battery, including the battery ground & power.  You can probably find the same if you look hard enough on-line.  What make/model/year vehicle is it?

1994 Acura Legend V6.  Real nice car, leather interior, plenty of pickup, and old enough that it isn't to painfull to work in.  Thinking about getting one for myself.

Check here and ask them if they have anything specific for your vehicle... It looks like they would, but perhaps not listed.

contact dominick irragi at dominick@tds.net
he is one of the best high output alternator builders around...and his prices are quite reasonable when you take into consideration the quality of product you are getting...I have a 250A alternator that he built in one of my cars and a friend of mine has a 220A alternator in his car as well...they are great alternators, and dominick is a great guy to deal with as well...
good luck...
