Also green and violet also go into the yellow is this right?

Cut the yellow in half. Then follow Kreg's instructions he posted above. Here's what to do with the yellow:

Violet to Yellow ( vehicle side )

Green to Yellow ( key side )

Are you testing these wires? Don't assume, wiring colours may vary, please check and verify each connection.

Appearances can be deceiving, can't they? You've done something wrong, and don't have the basic understanding or experience to figure out what  it IS that you've done wrong. From my view on the other side of the monitor, I think you're in over your head. Do the following before you possibly damage the wiring or systems in your :Suburban that could cost more to repair than the vehicle is worth.

  • Unplug ALL connectors from the module.
  • Place the module on the passenger seat.
  • Drive the vehicle to an authorized, professional, DEI Installer.
  • Tell them you've probably made a mess, but will they take a look and see if they can reinstall your Viper properly.
  • Pay the [probably large] bill, and enjoy your system.

Be smart. Recognize that you can't do this after all, and pay someone to do it that can.

Geuss I came to the wrong place for help or to ask questions thanks for nothing and BTW I am a master mechanic so I do know quite a bit just not this doesn't mean I can't figure it out I'd just rather ask somebody that's done it before everybody does something the first time Davep that's how you learn

Then with your "experience" you should have this working without any assistance. You asked "questions", and they were answered.  Now you're asking for a solution to a problem that can't be answered (easily, or at all) without a close visual inspection. And you haven't even gotten to the point where DBALL programing and other bypass-related issues need to be resolved. Once it doesn't crank by turning on the key (never seen anyone do that on here), there will still be the bypass to get working.

BTW, I don't know what qualifications or experience you have to call yourself a "master technician". I don't call myself a "master technician" (because that term means different things to different people), even though I've held an ASE Master Automotive Tech cert since 1978, that I still keep current. My 40+ year interest in cars has been mostly GM, so I know GM wiring and colors by memory. It's knowledge, not a label that fixes things. But no amount of  knowledge or experience can help me figure out what you've done wrong because there are endless possibilities. If I could see it, I'd probably figure it out in less than 60 seconds.(Yes, I'm very confident in my abilities with this subject).  But I can't.

So back to basics:

What wires on the Viper have you connected to what wires in the Suburban?

Begin with the heavy gauge wires.  Use Kreg's post as a guide. He has it exactly right, including where to put the power (red, RED / blk, RED / wht Viper) wires.

Burning up the wiring harness in your truck is a hard, expensive "learning process".
