Release trunk after my car is started remotely

I have an Autostart AS-2481TWS Remote Starter. After I release the trunk of my 2015 Honda Accord LX, I can use the remote starter to start it remotely. However, after my 2015 Honda Accord LX is started remotely by remote starter, I cannot use the remote starter to release the trunk right now. Is it possible to install my remote starter in such a way that after my 2015 Honda Accord LX is started remotely by the remote starter, I can use the remote starter to release the trunk?

Yes.  It will require some re-wiring and a SPDT relay. 

I'm guessing that you are using a bypass module that handles the trunk pop currently and it only functions while the engine

is off.  Hopefully it is a hardwire connection from the AS-2481TWS to the bypass module.  Disconnect that wire and use it to control the relay.  You will need to locate and verify this vehicle wire :

Trunk Release    Orange (+) (5 wire reverse)    @ Dash Fuse Box Green 44 Pin Plug, Pin 17

Thank you for your advice!!! I paid a guy who installed my remote starter and he did not want to fix this problem now. How much time will it take to fix this problem? How expensive is the SPDT relay?

You are not really "fixing" the problem.  That is the way the bypass module is designed and programmed.  Basically it does what the Factory remotes do.  This added relay will allow the aftermarket R/S system to directly control the trunk release solenoid.  An added feature, if you will.  I advise my customers up-front about the limitations of the Factory Remote FOB's and the R/S remotes during the remote start period.  I do this trunk release work-around if the customer requests and I do charge extra.  The SPDT relay is fairly inexpensive ( $.60 to $2.25 depending on the exact relay ), it's the extra labor time.

Depending on how your system was setup ( D2D or W2W ), it could be a bit time consuming.  Not real hard during install but going back in afterwards is sometimes a chore.
