Whoa there big guy.
When I said "I'm a DEI guy" I meant that's the product I'm familiar with because that's the make of gear I use. I'm not a DEI employee.
Your post is directed at me as though I WORK FOR DEI. I DON'T. And if I did, I still wouldn't appreciate that post in that tone because I was voluntarily helping you as an individual WITH A NON-DEI PRODUCT no less.
DEI's policy regarding their warranty is well established: If one of their Dealers doesn't install it, it has no warranty. Seems clear to me. Your beef is with BestBuy. Not DEI, and CERTAINLY not with ME!
I didn't appreciate that at all. Hope someone else helps you out with any future questions. I'm done.

--I want to add a light to the trunk when I open the trunk and would like to use my trunk pin(connected to the alarm) as a switch to open and close the light, any diagrams for relays or resistors????

Also the 5902 hasn't been "brand new" for 3 years at least.
Trunk pin switch to ground, wire to one side of light, other side to 12V+ constant.
Wire a foot well light in parallel with your dome light.
