I bought some Kicker component speakers, and they sound horrible.
There were so many reviews raving about how good they are, so I went with them.
There is little to no sound coming from the tweeter and all I hear from the 6.5" speaker is vocal. No bass at all. Now I wasn't expecting hard hitting bass, but am I supposed to get nothing at all? Is it typical to not hear anything from the Tweeter?
I have a Pioneer AVH-X5800BHS headunit.
Woofers: 16.5"
Tweeter: 2"
Dome Material: Titanium
Rated Impedance: 4Ω
Power Handling: 60 RMS
Sensitivity 90
Frequency Response: 35-21k Hz
Crossover Point: 4k Hz
Crossover Slope: 12 hi/12 lo
High Frequency Attenuation Level: 0, +3, +6

Sounds like the high/low speakers wires to the crossover swapped.

The crossover has 2 wires (+/-) for input.
And 4 wires for output.
The 2 wires for the Tweeter have "round" connectors (attached by manufacturer)
The 2 wires for the mid speaker has "flat" connectors (attached by manufacturer)
Would be hard mix up the wires, as they only connect to their matching part (tweeter | mid)
Only one that could be mixed up is the input wires; but I checked them with my volt meter, and the stock car speaker wires are connected to the indicated +/- of the crossover.
I ordered a small amp (RMS 50x4 @ 4ohm) gonna test that to see what happens; if sound doesn't improve just going to return the speakers system.

What car are they in? WHat was the previous OEM system? I ask as are you going through the OEM wiring that may have an amp/crossover that the signal may be going through so the components are limited before the kicker crossover? try running new wire straight to the crossover????

Are you sure they are Kicker product? Make sure the writing on them does not say Kikers.
