Info/opinions on Clarion Auto PC 310C

Does anyone know anything about these units?  I just picked one up off eBay, and want to get the inside scoop on it.  Anything wil be appreciated, thanks!

Hey awd sr,this type of unit was avaible from crutchfielf back in '99,new it cost $1300 us;it has windows ce platform and acording to my catalogue it can reconize more than 200 words and it can even take verbal commands...and you can add a GPS receiver to it,two way messaging,news and travel alerts,vehicle diagnostics,hands free cell,can control a cd changer,10 band eq, it also has usb port,infrared data port and flash card slot.You can buy your gps from around $250 us,vehicle diagnostics module for about $400 us,and your CUE for the weather reports for $170 us,16 mb flash memory card for $120 us,cd changer for $400 us.

check out this link if you have the time, it lists everything that came with the auction.  The reason I got it was I wanted GPS in my car, I started to get the Garmin Street Pilot 3, but the cost was around 550 at the lowest, so I checked eBay for in dash Nav systems.  I got the Clarion for under 500, and its supposedly new.  It comes with the GPS receiver too.

The CD changer costs 400 bucks???  Is it special or something?  gees :(

do you know if its safe to mount the GPS antenna on the roof instead of the dash?  The instructions say dash, but the antenna has magnetic mounts.  I'll take a pic of it if need be and send it to you.  Thanks
