ok im looking a 2 of them to replace the one i have now but im not to sure which to geteither:

the new clarion VS735or the Pioneer SDVP7

which is better to get i like both for slight reasons but//.... let me know

Look for features that are for comfort not WOW factoe. What I mean is I have a panasonic 9000u DVD indash and I hate that I have to open the screen to see my Radio presets and i have to use the remote to change the channels of my presets, very annoying when I loose the remote. I also didnt know the unit neede an exterior setup (I.E. amp, video inputs, changer controls are all on a seperate unit in the back of my cab) That was a pain to wire up. I like the clarion vrx935vd it looks like a basic cd player when closed and has DVD/Mp3 features, dual zone, sirius ready, and a touch screen. I'd save your cash to get that one. Hope that helps ypu put a little........

I personally hate in-dash motorized screens because no matter how much money you spend, the motor is eventually going to go out, and your going to have to manually "help" the screen up, also there waaay to expensive, they avg about a 1000.00 and you can get a nice seperate dvd player for 150.00 a 7" screen for 200.00 and depending on your head unit a line input converter for 50.00 totaling 400.00, and you dont have to worry about a stupid motor going out

I agree with Djlq. Although with the separate components, you will need to install them a little different. They will need a custom install. So I would say if you have the money to spend on this, go with the motorized and save the hassle of having to play with fiberglass.

What kind of headunit do you have right now? Clarion or Pioneer? Cuz each each one of the dvd players can be directly controlled via a head unit of their respective brands. But if you have a pioneer head unit and get the clarion dvd player, you'll have to use the clarion's remote to control it. Same thing for a clarion head unit and the pioneer player.

Obviously if you don't have a Pioneer or Clarion head unit then this is not really a factor....but just keep it in mind if it is.

The main difference I noticed was that the Clarion player will play back MP3 CDs whereas the pioneer one will just do audio CDs and DVDs. Other than that they seem pretty similar and it's kinda a toss-up.

Personally I'm a Pioneer fan but I think for you it will come down to those key points I mentioned.

I'm waiting for the Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD to plumet down to at least $1300 or less. Why didn't Pioneer come out with the 7 inch screen with the NAV-SYS910DVD. It only comes with the 6.5 inch...
