Okay. I got the alarm about half-done now.
Door pins work, impact and motion work, flashing parking lights work, sirens work, etc. Here are the things I completely cannot find or understand for some reason lol
1: Dome Light output (12V negative)
This should turn on the dome light when the alarm is disabled, to view the car interior upon approach.
problem: No mattre how I try to splice this neg. line from the Ungo MS2004 into the lighting circuit, it doesn't work!
Does this output require a bosche relay wired into the lighting circuit somehow, and it's negative feed is just a trigger for the relay's coil?
If this is the case, how do I wire it?
2: Power Door Locks. The Ungo has a built-in relay for power lock/unlock. I have no earthly idea how to wire this to the factory power locks, and where to find teh wiring harnesses to tap for doing so.
3: Power window modules, to roll up the windows upon alarm arming.
Same deal. no clue how to do this.
4: "Alarming/Horn Honk" output. does this require a relay to honk the horn when the alarm sounds?
5: Starter Kill. The Ungo has 2 blade connectors, and a fat brown wire that has terminals on each end to connect here for starter kill.
How is this wired? I haven't any idea on a starter kill circuit, and the simple diagrams on the site, while very helpful, don't quite equate in my head for some reason, to the wiring in the car. This one I have to get right on the first try. heh
6: The Ungo has an output for driver door priority so that when the alarm is disarmed with one click of the remote, only the driver's door unlocks. second click unlocks all.
Where is this wire supposed to be connected in the car? any idea?
That's a start on the problems. heh I have a basic functioning system now, just no starter kill, power lock/unlock, or window roll-up. the dome- light surveillence and horn would be nice touches but I suppose I could live without them if I had to do so.
PS, does anyone have teh authorized dealer Clarion/Ungo installer papers on the MS2004? I'd love to get my paws on the directions for act/deact driver priority locking etc.. which the book says "your installer can set"
I *am* the installer! haha Clarion refuses to help.
thanks

Hello, Glass Wolf

In order for you to activate to dome light supervision you would have to open the case of the brain (to the alarm)and look for jumper switch settings (dome light polarity ) if (-)trigger then switch the pins to pin #2,3 if (+) trigger then pins 1,2. let me know if this works.

Well, on my DMM, it's sending a neg. signal (completes ground) when the alarm is disarmed, for about 20 seconds, just like it should. Dome light monitoring is negative as well.
Do I need to supply a positive feed for the Jeep to activate the dome light? I don't have any directions for messing around inside the brain of the Ungo alarm, since Clarion won't supply them.
I suppose I may have to try to find a dealer which is VERY hard since I'm a: disabled, b: in the middle of nowhere Michigan without any dealers near by.
I'll see what I can find I suppose.
thanks for the tip though!

Okay I popped open the brain again just to be sure, and after a second close examination, there is a single jumper, labeled for parking lights pos or neg.
Nothing for the dome light feature though. It appears to be a neg. feed output. When I disarm the alarm, I get the chirps, then, when connecting my DMM with red lead to +12V, and black lead to the Ungo's dome light wire, it completes the circuit for approx 20 seconds, giving me a +12V signal, then it deactivates.
This is telling me the dome light feed is a negative output (12V) but when I try to connect it to the interior lighting circuit in the car, be it at the fuse box, at a courtesy light under the dash, or at the overhead dome light itself, it will not turn on the lights after disarming!
My only conclusion is this: The interior lighting needs a +12V output to olight the dome lights. I have no idea how to get around this to make it work.

IF you conclude that the dome light has a ( - ) output , why would you want to feed it a ( + ) input ?? You will end up frying the dome light circuit on the BCM. This may also have very bad affects on other parts of your BCM if it gets bad enough.

Hello GlassWolf,

Here is something to try if you have't already,

Your doorpins work, which are negative. You should connect the dome light supervision wire to the point where you door pin wire is connected. If this does not work, a relay is needed to increase the low current from the alarm to a higher current. Wire relay as follows:

#85- dome light wire from alarm(-)

 #86 - (+)12volt constant fused @5 or 10 amps

#87 - Chassis Ground

#30 - to doorpin wire

Post your results so we know if it works.

Hope this helps.

Bingo. I figured out I needed a relay for the dome light. That was the problem it would appear. I haven't wired it yet but thanks for the pin out diagram for the relay. That's just what I needed. all signals from the BCM are fine. neg. output to the relay.

Okay I got the door locks all wired in. works like a charm.. the real b*tch was finding the wires in teh car.. the driver's side was so hard to reach that I gave up there and went for the passenger side, which I eventually got. The entire wiring block was more easily removed to pull plugs till I found the door locks.
All I have left to do now is dome light relay, starter kill, and window modules.
God I wish the windows could be as easily reached from the passenger side.
Why don't these stupid car-makers realize the front passenger may like to roll down more than just his window sometimes too!!!! heh I hate that!
