2018 Honda Accord EX, Sub Install, Signal Wires

Hello. I am going to install a Rockford Fosgate P300-10 in a 2018 Honda Accord EX with the factory 8 speaker system. The Rockford powered sub has high level speaker connections, and I was going to tap into the rear speakers to get the signal for convenience, but after doing some research, it seems like the front speakers are a better option for the sound. But now I have a longer run for the signal wires. What kind of wires would be best to not have to worry about noise? I plan on using OFC cable and running the wires on the opposite side of car from the power wire, but do I use speaker wire or primary wire? Does the gauge matter? I have two 25ft rolls of 16 gauge OFC speaker wire and about 30ft of a 18 gauge OFC 4 conductor cable as well. I know I am probably over thinking this, but I just don't want to have to run wiring more than once. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you

The wires at the OEM subwoofer are the ones you need to catch. That car probably has Active Noise Cancellation. You will have to disable it. Is there a microphone in the headliner? It will be 4 inches or so forward of the top of the rear window, dead center left to right. It is the size of a quarter with holes perforated in the center. Thank you for the quick reply! The car does have ANC. It is behind the glove box, and it looks like I just need to unplug it. Thanks Unfortunately, this car doesn't have an OEM subwoofer. It looks like the sub and center channel speaker are on the 10 speaker system with a factory amp, while I have the 8 speaker system (4 midrange and 4 tweeters) with no factory amp.

I read 8 speaker as 8 Inch. Thought you had the 8 inch OEM subwoofer.   In most systems you would be better off catching the front speaker wires. But since the system you are installing has the DC OFFSET option for turn on, set it to that and catch the rear speaker wires. Let's Go Brandon Brown. Sorry for the confusion. So I will get the same bass response from tapping into the rear speakers as I would if I used the fronts as long as I use DC offset to turn on the powered sub?

Great! Thanks! And for my original question about the signal wires, is it better to use speaker wire or primary wire? I always use ofc wiring, but I just wondered if the sheathing or wire gauge makes a difference on noise. Thanks

I am getting ready to do this install in a few days, and I am planning to tap into the rear speakers like you suggested, but I am noticing that the wiring from the rear speakers has four wires each. One set goes to the stereo and the other to the rear tweeters. I purchased some Honda speaker connectors so that I could make a T-harness to get the signal from the rear speakers for a cleaner install. But will grabbing wires that power both the speaker and the tweeter for a signal be an issue? Also, I keep reading on various forums that even though its the same signal going to all the speakers, the rear ones have noticeably less bass. I would appreciate any information you could provide.
