i have a older style alpine v-12 and ihave it in my car but it always messes up the green light goes orange and i think thats the power protection but i don't know what that means.........somebody help me

Depends on what model amp. If the ORANGE light goes on, this is normal operation on some of the V12 amps.

is your amp shutting down and going into protection.????
