I'm looking for parts for my alarm, https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=15032&PN=2

Now something like the siren, should I go with the DEI or the AU-74M as seen on autotechs.com? It's a $10 difference, anyone know who makes this AU model?

What about sensors, I want to stay with DEI for my 6500 ESP, but is it really necessary?

Thanks!

Owen

sirens don't matter just be sure they you get one with a high db rating some sirens are louder than others.  Also some are six tone  just personal prefference.  as far as shock sensors go a dei one would be ideal because you could plug it sraight in.  but you could use another brand just a little more instal time.

I would use DEI sensors if you hasve the money to spend on them.  You can wire any brand into your viper alarm but the dei sensors are less likely to false trigger.

I have tried lots of different sensors but now I will pay the extra for less headache.

The sirens have different db ratings and tones (single vs multiple) I would base your desicion on the tone desired and the highest db.  DEI sirens are also smaller.
