I need some advice on purchasing an amplifier. I have been searching on e-bay and have found some that, according to their specs look extremely good, but not sure how they operate out in the real world. For instance, can anyone tell me about Viper, Direct Audio, DEI, Audiobahn, etc? If you were starting fresh and wanted an amp to push 2 JBL GTO635's and 2 MB Quart DKC 169's what amp would you purchase? Please take into consideration that money is a factor and that is why I am searching on e-bay. I would rather buy a solid used amp instead of a new lesser amp.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I would like to ask you to try to be as honest with your advice as you possibly can.

To be perfectly honest, as little as possible. That's why I'm searching on e-bay. Remember, I will be completely satisfied with a used, solid, but in excellent working condition amp. I could care less if it has scratches, dents or crayon marks on it, as long as the guts are in excellent order.

you can run either a 2channel-600-800 watts or a 4-channel 800w, it would most likely produce 100x4@4ohm load. I have a brand new logic 820w for $129 delivered.

Get new stuff man. You get a warranty and a guaranteed working product. I bought 3 dead used amps off ebay before i finally decided that it wasn't the way to go. Sure it ruins their feedback but i guess a bad feedback remark is worth 200 dollars. Also stay away from the amps that sound too good to be true. If they don't list the rms then it probably isn't even 1/4 of the wattage listed. For example legacy amps. If you want to push 6x9's and subs w/ the same amp, make sure you get one that bridges at 4 ohms. Good luck!
