I got my Clarion 310C autoPC and am ready to put it in.  The directions say mount the antenna to the dash, near the windshield, but the antenna has magnetic mounts, so I assume its safe to mount on the roof.  Anyone know if it can withstand being mounted outside?  I know signal wise this is the better location (on roof) as it has better line of sight of the GPS satellites.

Thanks

I have mounted them on the roof before and haven't had any come back, so I say go for it just be careful going though car washes.  Bring the antenna inside the car if you do.  You might want to keep it next to the door so you don't have a wire running accross the top of your car.
