i've got a 2001 hummer h1 in the bay, if anyone has experience besides what the websites say for vss and reverse, it would be of great help, I can get reverse at the light in the back, but was hoping for something a bit easier

Thanks in advanced

paul

the easiest way i have found to get to the vss wire is to remove the speedometer and you will find a purple wire,

I have always used a white wire behind the instrument cluster on new platform GM vehicles, there are 2 sometimes 3, I usually just tap them all put the cluster back in and road test each wire with a DMM, as for the reverse wire, you should be able to locate it under the column, don't remember the color right off hand

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"
