Help! Anyone know how to wire up a remote window module to the factory BMW windows? I have a 1993 BMWis, 2 door. Power windows with the one-touch up/ down is factory.

I already have an alarm installed, just cannot figure out where to wire in for the remote window module. You can activate the windows with the key off, but when you open the doors it cuts the circuit to the windows and this is really screwing me up!

any help would be appreciated.

Try this:

1. Roll down windows / open sunroof.

2. lock your door with the key and hold the key in the "lock" position.

Does the windows roll-up & sunroof close?

Install_Tech - I am having the same problem with my BMW.  I have tried the above and yes, all of the windows close when you hold the key in the lock position.

Whats next ?

You can activate the factory window module by extending the pulse going to your "lock wire.

You will have to press & hold the button on your remote for the windows/sunroof to close using this method)

To do this, you need an auxillary channel on your alarm w/ constant output, a relay, and two diodes(diodes not neccessary, only used to keep circuits isolated).

1st you have to convert the (-) pulse from your auxillary wire using the relay:

Pin# 85 - (-)auxillary wire (channel 2, or 3)

#86 & 87 - (+)12v with 5 or 10 amp fuse.

#30 - (+) out to lock wire through diode w/band facing lock wire.

Connect the lock wire from your alarm to the vehicles lock wire through the diode w/ band facing vehicles lock wire.

Now when you press & hold your auxillary button on your remote, the windows / sunroof will close.

Hope this helps.

Here is a diagram of the factory Alarm connector:   http://www.wiringinstructions.com/234.htm

Note; if you open the hood and you do not see a hoodswitch near the strut tower, you will not have the factory alarm connector.
