I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally and i installed a Clarion DXZ835mp in the dash but the trim panel for the receiver does not fit. I do not want to drill holes in my stereo so that i can have it stick further out of the dash... is there anyone who knows a good way to attach this trim panel to the dash without changing the mounting depth of the stereo?

Actually a lot of times when you ISO-mount a head unit you aren't able to use the trim ring that comes with the receiver.  Unfortunately there's just not a whole lot that you can do about it.  Parts of the sides of the trim ring itself can be shaved down a bit and this sometimes is enough to get it on far enough to snap on to the receiver, but a lot of times you have to live with the gap.

Also, occasionally one of these universal trim rings will work for you--you just use it instead of the one that comes with the receiver.

Also I should ask...did you use the factory pocket or did you replace it with an aftermarket pocket?

One other option is to redrill the holes on your mounting brackets (not the radio) so that the radio sits behind the dash with the trim bezel on it.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"
