What's the rms rating of your sub? I couldn't locate it on the polk website.I found GXR and GXN, but no EX.
The MTX amp looks good, if your sub is rated at the rated bridged rms value. And I've heard MTX underrates their amps, so chances are you'll get your wattage worth...again...if your sub is near the rms rating of the amp.

By the specs, you would be getting alot better amp with the US Acoustics, it has more power, a very low THD rating, plus its cheaper!!

For a sub amp go with the US acoustics amp--it's a much better deal than the MTX amp.

US acoustics sucks, that's why it's cheaper.  I would never trade my 81000D for a US acoustics.

Everyone has their opinions. But the amps we are talking about dont even compare with your 8100D. WE are discussing small 2 channel Class A/B amps, which the US is a BETTER amp. With MTX, just paying for the name like Rockford or anything else. Your 8100 may be a good amp, I couldnt find a good spec sheet on it, but for the 801D, even the US Class D sub amps are better than it. The specs tell it all. MTX amps are just dirty amps, plain and simple.
