I'm looking for a bang for the buck upgrade to my stock Pioneer CD/tape deck in my 89 RX7 convertible.  I'll be upgrading the crappy dual cone front speakers with Infinity's or the like and then I'm planning on putting in a subwoofer.

Space is tight is my car so I was thinking of getting an amped 8" tube to make the install simple, cheap, easy and small.  Any recommendations on what subwoofer to get?

I've found great prices on a Pyle 300W and a Bazooka 50W.  Right now, I'm leaning towards the Pyle since I figure a convertible needs lots of juice with the top down.

Anything better out there in the budget price range?

you could get two 8" subs and make a custom box- usually smaller than a tube..then inbetween the two subs put the amp...
I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

a pyle 8" would definitely not give you your bang for the buck. if you want to get some reasonable bass for a good price, it will be a few hundred dollars.  Try www.crutchfield.com for the two-fer deals, get a good amp, and build yourself a small enclosure.  I recommend two Infinity Reference 10"s, a 500-600 rms mono amp, and a custom box to fit your car.
