Well I am thinking about putting a second battery in my trunk also.  But some one told me the battery wouldnt last really long and I would have to charge it again.  But I am going to still try it to see how long the battery really last.  I have the same JBL 1200.1 amp so we are in the same boat.

You might not need a second battery. 130 amps is a pretty healty alternator. If your lights dim whilst bumping I would start by replacing the stock battery with an optima yellow top, then I would run a 4 gauge wire from the pos. terminal on the battery to the pos. terminal on the back of the alternator, also I would upgrade your ground wire to 4 gauge as well. The normal wire is about 10 ga. and that is the only thing feeding your battery. With the increased demand on your electrical system it is like trying to blow a watermelon through a straw. I would also suggest using 0 ga. wire to a distribution block close to the amps. A 1 farad cap would also be a good idea. If this fails I would get your alternator rebuilt for higher output. If you add a second battery to your electrical system it will not solve the problem. If your alt. can't keep your first battery filled it sure as hell won't keep your second one filled. Go to your bathroom and turn on the faucet full blast with the drain open. The water fills up a little bit but most of it goes straight down the drain. If you want to fill the sink with the drain open you need more water pressure and flow. Adding a second battery is like not being able to fill your sink so you just make it bigger, now there is just more empty space. I feel like I have just written war and peace. I hope this helps. I have been through the same thing you are going through.
